So yeah this shirt is on repeat.I can’t help it. I love a good basic graphic tee. And this one makes me so happy to wear, even if it has to do with a place not so happy in Middle Earth. The Mordor shirt from Skreened is one that is comfy and I never get tired of. Paired with a great pair of flares like these from EXPRESS and some gilded MIISTA sandals you can not go wrong. For a pop of color I added a micro bag(something that is weird for a big bag lady like me) . And I love the fact my hair is starting to get angry a sure fire way to say hey summer is coming! My hair, is getting poofy and trying to go back to curly.
Everyone needs a sam.
Have you noticed that in everyone needs their own Sam? In LOTR Frodo has a Sam, in GOT John Snow has a Sam, Dean has a Sam, and I think in Mass Effect(my own opinion) your tech implant has a name SAM.SO, since I take my own pictures I have decided to name my silly ass tripod SAM. What made me think of this was actually a bit on Instagram, a blogger was talking about how her little sometimes takes her pictures and the weird looks she gets. And I thought, that is why I take my own. But, the weird looks I get are as I have said before Daunting. It feels a tad narcissistic sure. OK, a lot.
Being a blogger especially a blogger that write primarily about outfits and fashion etc, I take pictures of my outfits. And I like getting out of the house sometimes to do so. So, weird looks are part of the territory for me and SAM. (pfftheh) Like today, weird looks from passer byes. Lots of them, and I just went on my business. If they want to know what I am up to they could stop the cars and ask or walk up and ask. I probably (you all know my problems with this kind of stuff) would nervously say what I am doing and or awkwardly state it in a way that would make no sense to anyone.
And let me say SAM is the best photo partner, never complains, never gets tired. Perfect for me and my shoots. Right? SAM. Good ol SAM.
OK, so when it comes to post names I am no where near the most creative! Not at all. SO yeah, it almost has “I don’t know” as the title. Today is a rainy and gloomy day. A great day to sit and veg out(if you are lucky) on movies and Netflix. Movies like the Hobbit or LOTR. Or heck the Great Brittish Bake off! I am addicted to that show!
Today I pulled out the Hobbit book tee that I bought from Skreened and wore it with a lace midi skirt. You all know how I like to pair the nerd tees with more delicate skirts etc. Today I wanted a no fuss outfit. And I think I pulled it off, it looks polished and a bit out of whack. You either like it or you hate it. Right? Today’s outfit definitely had me wondering if I liked it or not. And yeah, I like it. I love my shoes, my shirt, the skirt, the watch, the necklace. My hair is insane. Normal day right?
I also wore my Justfab Vivienne heels. I love these shoes so much! I like the way they change color as you walk. Styling a nerd tee doesn’t have to be hard. Don’t over think it and just go for it. Want to pair it with sequins like I did here in this post, DO IT! Want to wear jeans, ALRIGHT! Wear with a great pencil skirt or midi skirt? That sounds fantastic! The way you can wear these underutilized bits of shirtly heaven is limitless.
You do you!
I would like to point out really quick that I sometimes reflect light apparently. Which is pretty funny.
The BEACONS ARE LIT! GONDOR CALLS FOR AID! I am that pale.
hi there friends! Sorry about not posting this sooner as I wanted. We are having a weekend full of fun. Although yesterday we stayed close to home getting fire works for tiny child to enjoy. And although we are having a more “quiet” fourth this year, Saturday we went and enjoyed some of the bigger fireworks.
My OOTD that night was a cute Captain America nerd shirt with a gorgeous skirt I got from the Express sale. And while I am team Iron Man(sorry) I loved the cute outfit I had not only for me but my little one as well. We matched.
It was raining a bit that night so thank goodness I took these before we had our adventure.
Honestly, I don’t know why I carried a black bag for these pictures. The day I wore this to the party I had my red bow Justfab purse. Which looked better with the whole look. Hm. I love wearing nerd shirts and pairing them with a fabulous skirt makes them that much more glam. And although this is a very July fourth kind of outfit, I can definitely wear this again and again. And separately.
I love my nerd shirts so much in fact I started to design my own. And finished one, which I can not wait to show you all. I am considering opening up my own etsy shop to sell my nerd shirts. We shall see.
I decided to wear flats because I figured it may be muddy and that day it was very very muddy and wet.
Hi there friends!! Hope you had a marvelous Mother’s Day. I did. I had this awesome post all set for the day and my cat was a jerk and decided to lie down on my laptop and deleted the whole post. And crash my PC. Cats are just……just….cats. Ugh. I am trying to get all my boggy things done and that didn’t help. I am also having massive writers block. Not sure if it is due to the funk that is still not leaving me alone. Went to the mall and walking a short distance I felt like I was going to fall asleep standing there. Not good. I over did it at the zoo the day before that as well. I am hoping to combine my 2 zoo posts. Back to the writers block, going back and reading my last outfit post, I could see that while my fashion passion is back my writing was not so much. You can read that here, it is a super cute outfit ! But today, today is another one of those I didn’t know what to name this post so I am winging it. //assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js
I am revisiting another graphic tee that I have by wearing my Elsa chibi shirt and some skinny jeans. I also decided to bump up the geeky glam by wearing my new Justfab Laken heels. Love these. The shoes inspired me to wear them with this shirt!
I really love this outfit. And I know normally I wear things like this with midi skirts and such but, I wanted comfy times.
The great thing about graphic tees are there are so many wonderful ways to style them!
I finally got the shirt I have been wanting so bad for almost 2 years? Yeah, I think it is 2 years about. Anyway, I love Skreened. They have the neatest shirts and I had been eyeballing this Mirkwood Guard shirt. I finally got the shirt that pays homage to one of my fave things. Tolkien. It a more hilarious way. Today, I shall show one way I style a nerd tee. Or really it is a fangirlie graphic tee. Embrace the fandom.
OK, yes, I used my phone and a attachment for my stroller. No sense lugging around a lot if we are playing in the park. Which happens a lot. Although today we were out for a walk. I went for my new H&M leather(they are a shiny pants not leather) pants. I then brought out my grey booties by GUESS. I really like this outfit a lot, it speaks to me. I can not wait to pair this shirt with a midi skirt!
I am not going to lie, I was cold. It was 49 out. My little one was under blankies and had a coat on. He was happy as a clam and laughing from the stroller at cold mommy. It wasn’t that bad. The cold doesn’t bother me anyways.
Come to think of it, I would be the WORST guard in the Mirkwood Realm. I am terrified of spiders!
What do you think of my new shirt? If you are wondering what Mirkwood is, it is an Elvish realm in Middle Earth, which is in the LOTR, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion .
all worth reading and The Lord of The Rings is worth watching as is The Hobbit trilogy. Extended editions though. I love it!!!! Still would be a terrible guard.
